Michael
Kline has been putting pencil to paper (and many other objects, inanimate
and otherwise) for many years. Having worked at his family’s meatcutting
business for, well, for too long, he decided that illustration was the
next obvious career path, and in 1987 began producing sumptuous technical
drawings for local agencies charged with the marketing of Wichita’s
aviation industry.
A stint as a principal in Acme Design in 1990 found him engaged in the early issues of Kids Discover magazine, which he found totally to his liking. Setting out on his own once again in 1992, Michael felt that engaging younger readers was to be his life’s work, and began to meet that challenge at full speed (see clients). |
Michael lives and works in
Wichita, KS, with his beautiful wife (and muse) Vickie, sons Steve and
Jon, and feline confidants Baxter and Felix Noir.
Images are available in EPS, JPG, or TIF formats, and can be posted at a convenient FTP site or attached to emails. If you would like Michael to create something unique for your next project, give a call or email.
